Where the Spirit Moves You

“I exhort therefore,
that, first of all,
supplications, prayers, intercessions,
and giving of thanks,
be made for all men;”

“And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.”

Matthew 25:40

Someone Cares

Someone Cares Women’s Ministry at NTBC is directed by Elder Diana Staley. It comprises monthly fellowship breakfasts, along with providing meals to the sick and/or just released from hospital.
One of the biggest outreaches of the ministry is Warm A Heart. Started as the result of a need seen by the director she and a group of six women got together and loomed, knitted, and crocheted hats and scarves. They then took these as well as gloves, mittens and socks they purchased and gave them away at the Church. And at the women’s shelters, cancer units, and an orphanage in Kyrgyzstan.
Each year the number of items made has increased and there are now men joining in making items to give away. They also “took it to the streets” going where the need was and is the greatest. In addition they went to low income housing areas and the homeless center. An orphanage in Nairobi received a supply of items making Warm A Heart a truly international ministry.

”Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend.”

Proverbs 27:17
What is a man of God?

He is a man who has decided to let God control
his life by applying God’s word to his
everyday activities,
by obeying God’s lawful commands in all
of his doings,
and by serving God and showing the
love of Christ to others through
both words and actions.
It’s the only way.

Here at NTBC the men’s ministry is more
than meeting for breakfast.
It’s about mentoring those new in the Lord,
showing them how to establish a life
based on God’s Word and prayer.
And it involves reaching out and
helping those who are not able to do things for themselves providing to all aspects of life.

NTBC is reaching out to those in need with our “House of Bread” pantry ministry. It helps supply both food and non food items to those in our communities who might in other circumstances have to go without.
